Where to Tube?

Boulder Creek

boulder creek tube
two boulder creek tubers
Tubing has become a pastime in Boulder, Colorado. When it gets hot, locals and tourist flock to the creek to enjoy the cool water and the exciting rapids. Boulder Creek is the most challenging creek for tubers in the area. Starting near Eben G. Fine park tubers are greeted with a whitewater park with many ledge drops into pools. At higher water the ledges create hydraulics that often flip tuber. Downstream of 9th street, the creek mellows substantially. The current moves fast and there are still some ledges to be aware of. For those looking for a wild ride, start in Eben G. Fine Park, and float through town. For those looking for a less challenging section, start below Broadway and float to 30th street. When the water is below 100cfs, the lower sections get more rocky and Eben G. Fine Park offers the best tubing for everyone.

You can start at the Apple Valley bridge and float through town. Finish across from the Black Bear Hotel at the kayak park. Meadow Park is a great
place to hang out by the river. There are picnic tables, pavillions, and restrooms there.
