Where to Tube?

Boulder Creek:

boulder creek tube
two boulder creek tubers
Tubing has become a pastime in Boulder, Colorado. When it gets hot, locals and tourists flock to the creek to enjoy the cool water and the exciting rapids. Boulder Creek is the most challenging creek for tubers in the area. Starting near Eben G. Fine park tubers are greeted with a whitewater park with many ledge drops into pools. At higher water the ledges create hydraulics that often flip tubers. Downstream of 9th street, the creek mellows substantially. The current moves fast and there are still some ledges to be aware of. For those looking for a wild ride, start in Eben G. Fine Park, and float through town. For those looking for a less challenging section, start below Broadway and float to 30th street. When the water is below 100cfs, the lower sections get more rocky and Eben G. Fine Park offers the best tubing for everyone.

AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON, TUBING FROM MATT'S WHITEWATER COURSE AT 1ST AND ARAPAHOE THROUGH EBEN G. FINE PARK TO EITHER 6TH OR 9TH STREET BRIDGES IS THE BEST RUN TO TAKE. THAT RUN IS 30-45 MINUTES LONG, BUT ONLY ABOUT A 5-10 MINUTE WALK BACK UP TO DO IT AGAIN. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ROUTE FOR ALL TUBERS WITH THE FLOW OF THE WATER CURRENTLY.

HAVE FUN!!!!

Saint Vrain River
Lyons, Colorado

The Saint Vrain River in Lyons Colorado is a great place to tube for groups looking for a mellower day. There are still rapids on the St. Vrain, and they are easier than Boulder Creek. You can start at the Apple Valley bridge and float through town. Finish across from the Black Bear Hotel at the kayak park. Meadow Park is a great
place to hang out by the river. There are picnic tables, pavillions, and restrooms there.

St. Vrain Greenway
    Longmont, Colorado
tuber longmont greenway
The Saint Vrain Greenway in Longmont is the place to go if you want to float and relax. This section has no whitewater and it makes for a pleasant float through beautiful Longmont parks. River Tubing in the Greenway is the best option for young children. Longmont is only 20 minutes away from our store. Click here for a link to the city of Longmont site with directions.

THE GREENWAYS IN LONGMONT ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO BE TUBED ON FOR THE SEASON. THE WATER IS TOO LOW!
